Austrian Lockdown, Chancellor Charges Anti-Vaxxers with Attack on Health System

The Austrian government has decreed a lockdown for ten days, beginning Monday, with the option of extending it for another ten days. Police are massively deployed to control vaccination certificates of citizens that do shopping or have other activities in the inner cities.

The government also decided that vaccination against Covid-19 becomes mandatory for every citizen from February next year on. “We have to face the reality,'’ Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg told the press yesterday. “Incited by radical vaccine rejectors and obnoxious fake news, too many have not been vaccinated—this is an attack on our health system.”
