Avril Haines to Brussels to Ratchet Up War Hysteria

Avril Haines, the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), flew to Brussels this week, hyping the story that Russia is about to carry out military missions against Ukraine, according to the New York Times. Haines’ mission was to recruit the Europeans to take both economic and military measures against Russia. Haines’ argument was seemingly based upon “intelligence” of internal movements of Russian forces. However, the caveat provided, that Moscow had not yet decided what to do with the forces, gives away the game: Crank up Ukraine and initiate provocative maneuvers on Russia’s borders, leaving Russia no choice. Then confront Europe with the present Russian deployments as evidence of an imminent invasion. The Times did not report whether anyone at the briefing dared her to ask the obvious question, did the alleged Russian actions have any connection to the escalated military activity on their border?
