“Playtime is over!” After a year-long break for the pandemic, the EU Commission is coming back to fiscal austerity. In its yearly review of member states’ budget plans, the EU Commission found that some states spent at a rate too high. Italy was especially warned on Nov. 24 to start reducing its spending next year.
