Nov. 30: The distinctly named Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices for the euro area rose by 4.88% in November (first estimate) from one year earlier, a record for the month and up from 4.0% year-on-year in October. Energy prices led the inflation, as wholesale natural gas jumped all the way back up from 67 euros to 93 euros per megawatt hour.
