Graham Fuller, a former leading analyst with the CIA and the Rand Corporation focused on Afghanistan and the Islamic world, spoke at an event on the crisis in Afghanistan Oct. 31, sponsored by the “Just World International” of the Quakers, Of particular interest was his comments on the aftermath of 9/11, when, he suggested, the Taliban was open for negotiations with the Bush Administration to remove al-Qaeda from the country.
