U.S. Democracy Summit: Russia, China, Hungary Not Invited; Taiwan Is on the Guest List

The United States has invited 110 attendees to its so-called “Democracy Summit.” Neither Russia nor China were invited. But, in the latest provocation against China, Taiwan will be attending!

Also uninvited are Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. While the dubious democracy of Ukraine was invited, Hungary (a member of the European Union and NATO) was not. Hungary thus joins Saudi Arabia, Iran, and North Korea, as well as such allegedly infamous non-democratic states of Venezuela and Nicaragua.

The Summit will take place on Dec. 9-10 and will be hosted virtually by Biden. Its website states its three main themes:

1. Defending against authoritarianism.

2. Addressing and fighting corruption.
