German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock expelled two Russian diplomats after the Berlin court sentenced a Russian citizen in the famous case of the “Tiergarten murder"—the 2019 murder of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, a Georgian citizen of Chechen ethnicity, in Berlin. The German judge said this is “state terrorism.” Russia’s Ambassador to Germany, Sergey Nechaev, called the sentence “politically motivated.”
