Xinhua has reported plans to expand transportation in China as part of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), which looks terrific to a Western observer. Some excerpts:
“High-speed railways will stretch to a total length of 50,000 km in 2025, up from 38,000 km in 2020, and 250-km ones are expected to cover 95% of cities with populations above 500,000, per the document released by the State Council.
