Daniel Burke and Caleb Maupin on YouTube To Organize Against War Threat

LaRouche organizer and former senate candidate Daniel Burke appeared on Caleb Maupin’s live Saturday chat on YouTube on Jan. 15. Maupin, the founder of the Center for Political Innovation, has spoken at Schiller Institute conferences and given EIR interviews. Together, they discussed the danger of the outbreak of war and took questions from the YouTube stream. As of noon on Jan. 16, it had over 1,300 views and more than 200 likes. Live viewership peaked at around 120 people. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CupH2JvHsfM)

Burke gave a briefing on the situation in Ukraine and detailed Russia’s requests in their treaty drafts. Maupin brought up how until last week “false flag” was a term strictly associated with conspiracy theory. Burke connected the Anglo-American geopolitics operations in Ukraine to a general Malthusian colonialism that demands a cultural bestialization of the population as well as regular mass starvations, like that in Afghanistan. There was then some discussion on Operation Ibn Sina and the Schiller Institute seminar on Jan. 17, centering Afghanistan as the fulcrum on which the world’s future balanced.

The audience was primarily Marxist leading to a fun Q&A. On the question of “LaRouche’s betrayal of Historical Materialism” Maupin admitted a fondness for Henry Carey and lamented Marx’s support of free trade. Another question on what LaRouche thought of neo-conservatism was quickly answered with reference to the “Children of Satan” pamphlet.

Overall the conversation provided ample outreach to politically minded young people, and allowed our unique method and ideas to intervene within the normally all too stilted and polarized space of “radical politics.” Previous contacts participated in the chat and would expect to establish at least a few more from these continuing discussions.
