The Fascist Factor in Ukraine Military Deployments

Insufficient attention is being paid internationally to the self-proclaimed fascist character of extremists now embedded at the highest levels of the Ukrainian military. Given the potential for nuclear annihilation from the Anglo-American/NATO “Russia to invade Ukraine narrative,” EIR urges those seeking to head off war, to read, or re-read the 18-page dossier on this Nazi factor, published in the May 16, 2014, issue of EIR, under the title, “British Imperial Project in Ukraine: Violent Coup, Fascist Axioms, Neo-Nazis.”

For example: The dossier provides background on Dmytro Yarosh, the head of avowedly-fascist Right Sector militia, who since November 2021 has been an official advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Gen. Zaluzhny, an appointment continuing the close relationship between the two going back to at least 2015. Yarosh is a proud follower of Stepan Bandera, the leading Ukrainian collaborator of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Party during WWII.

Yarosh delivered a speech on July 17, 2013, widely circulated online, summarizing his ideology. He made three summary points: 1) There is an “internal occupation” regime in Ukraine (this was before the Maidan uprising); 2) No liberation of the Ukrainian people and no Ukrainian statehood is possible without a national revolution; and 3) Russia is the age-old enemy of Ukraine and “as long as the Russian Empire exists in any form, true, real national independence of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people is impossible.” Yarosh there forecast:
