Zelensky Predicts Putin Will Take Kharkiv Because, Well, They Speak Russian There

The Washington Post yesterday published an interview with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky by senior editor Lally Weymouth in which he obsessed about Western sanctions - he wants “powerful sanctions” on Russia now ahead of the much anticipated invasion - and claimed that all Ukrainians, including Russian speakers, will come forward to defend Ukraine against a Russian attack. What made headlines, however, was his prediction that Vladimir Putin will take Kharkiv because it’s a Russian-speaking city (and very close to the border with Russia).
