Oleksii Reznikov, the Kiev regime’s defense minister, is practically claiming victory over the Russians. “More than 55 hours of resistance. Our defenders completely destroyed the enemy’s plans. As of this morning, more than 3,000 Russian occupiers have been killed. More than 200 invaders have been taken prisoner. The number of prisoners is increasing. They did not expect such a rebuff and surrender,” he said today, reported Ukrinform. Reznikov also said that hundreds of armored vehicles had been destroyed, including more than 100 Russian tanks. According to him, 7 helicopters were shot down by Stinger systems yesterday. Imagery showing vast fields of Russian dead and burning armored vehicles has yet to appear, however.
Such claims have given rise to wry rumors that “Baghdad Bob,” the nickname of the Iraqi government spokesman in 2003 who was announcing the triumph of the Iraqi army over the US invasion even as American tanks were charging down boulevards in Baghdad, has found new employment in Kiev.
