White House National Security Council Meeting Today

A White House National Security Council (NSC) meeting was convened today for two hours in the Situation Room, with all top Administration figures in attendance in person. Photos of what appears to be a “war council”—with names card put facing toward the camera, were provided to the media to have the maximum public scare effect. Among those visibly attending with President Biden were the heads of Departments of Defense, State, and Treasury, the NSC, the CIA, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and others. A terse White House statement said that the meeting discussed the Ukraine situation.

Also this weekend, a Congressional delegation is in Brussels, to keep up the war whoop campaign. For example, Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA) reported live, at midnight from Belgium to CNN TV, to praise the Biden Administration for succeeding in building up NATO, after Trump’s four years of backing off, and NATO is now defending robustly against the aggressor Russia. Garamendi waxed wildly about how the U.S. will back up Europe with gas, as even now, LNG tanker ships are turning around on the high seas to redirect their cargo to “back-fill” Europe with plenty of gas. (You can’t make this stuff up.)
