Even the U.S. Media Is Admitting The Madness of War With Russia

While the mainstream media in the U.S. continues to peddle massive lies about the war in Ukraine, demonizing Russia, covering up for the Nazis who are being armed by the U.S. and the UK, and calling for more “financial nuclear sanctions” on Russia, they have nonetheless begun to react to the reality that we are on the brink of a nuclear war. Both MSNBC and Fox News Friday night began screaming an alarm that the madmen among us are taking us closer to nuclear Armageddon.

Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC told his audience that the growing chorus demanding a “No-Fly Zone” (NFZ) over Ukraine, led by President Zelenskyy but cheered on by the war party in the Congress, had better think about what they are calling for. Start a war with Russia, he said, and you may soon wake up and not recognize London, Paris, Rome, New York or Washington.” He brought on Tom Nichols, a professor at the Naval War College specializing in nuclear weapons and Russia, who issued the same warning, noting that “we were far more cautious during the Cold War. Nowadays many people think that a nuclear war is somehow not possible.” Gen. Bary McCaffrey also came on, saying, “Sure we could do it [a NFZ], but we’d have to take out the S-400 air defense systems on RUssian territory, and we’d be at war with Russia, and it would likely be nuclear.”

On Fox, retired U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Robert Spalding told “The Ingram Angle” (hosted by someone else) that there were no way such a no-fly zone could not lead to a war with Russia: “So establishing a no-fly zone, while it’s pretty straightforward, would have some complications and risks to the air crews of the tankers of the AWACS and of course, to the fighters that are there to enforce it. So it’s easy to do in terms of actually executing it, but it’s complicated in terms of getting all the pieces in place and making it happen.” This could “lead to a full-scale war in Europe, and it could mean nuclear.”
