Lindsey Graham, Lord Owen and Others Demand Assassination of Putin

“Is there a Brutus in Russia? Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military? The only way this ends is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would be doing your country—and the world—a great service,” Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) tweeted today. (https://twitter.com/LindseyGrahamSC/status/1499574209567199235 )

In Britain, Lord David Owen, former Labour Party Foreign Secretary, who also boasts a medical degree in neurology, coauthored a Sunday Times feature on Feb. 26 that asserts that Putin is a madman and dictator, and, typically free of evidence, may be addicted to steroids. The feature concludes: “But power is as potent a brain-changer as any drug and Putin is in a dangerous mental state because of this. His religiosity and sense of spiritual mission, combined with his … contempt for any adviser who might contradict or warn him, means that he cannot be considered a fully rational actor, as anyone watching his rambling and emotional speech on Monday [Feb. 21] could see….

“But there is one consolation … in Roman times, having made himself a demigod, Julius Caesar came across Brutus. President Putin may be full of anger and contempt—but he is also haunted by fear.” (https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/inside-putins-mind-absolute-power-has-blinded-russias-new-tsar-q8gws3v5j)
