Putin Orders New Economic Measures

TASS reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered new economic measures which involve “restricting or prohibiting import and export of certain products and raw materials from Russia in 2022.” Although no products were mentioned – that will be specified in a coming decree – yesterday’s announcement was clearly a further step in the necessary direction of a war economy, to satisfy domestic needs in the face of the massive international sanctions that Russia is facing.
