Raskin—Biden’s Greenie Pick for Top Fed Banker Cop, Withdrew Her Name

Sarah Bloom Raskin, the very greenie nominee of President Biden for the Federal Reserve Board banking cop position, sent him a letter today, withdrawing her name from Senate consideration. She was unacceptable to many Republicans, who boycotted a vote on her in the Senate Banking Committee. Then, over the weekend Sen. Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) said he opposed her because of her stance on energy.

Raskin is an outspoken advocate for green finance, to end high-tech energy, and move to low- tech, scarce energy. She makes Mark Carney and Sir Michael Bloomberg glow. She said in her letter today, “Addressing the transition of the economy as it grapples with the effects of climate change is critical to the future of American prosperity. I stand with the vast majority of financial regulators and central banks in the United States and abroad recognizing these facts.”
