President Joe Biden jetted off to New Hampshire yesterday where he told reporters traveling with him that he would send more artillery to Ukraine. When asked whether he planned to do so, he paused and replied, “Yes,” reported CNBC. Five unnamed officials also told the network that the administration is getting set to announce yet another weapons package about the same size as the last one, which was $800 million.
Meanwhile, the delivery flights for the last package keep landing, apparently in Poland. “Another one just arrived yesterday and in the next 24 hours we expect they’ll be more than half a dozen, probably more like seven flights coming from the United States into the theater with a various amount—various amounts of material based on the—based on the $800 million security assistance drawdown package approved last week,” a senior defense official told reporters at the Pentagon on background yesterday. He added that “none of these shipments sit around very long before being offloaded off of aircraft and onloaded appropriately in ground transportation to get them into Ukraine.”
