“Not technically plausible” is how the CIA regarded supposed data of Trump-Russia collusion presented by former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman.
This is one of the revelations in the latest filings by Special Counsel John Durham in the case of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman, indicted in September 2021. Sussman met with both the FBI and CIA to present what he claimed was evidence that Trump was working through Alfa Bank to collude with Russia to illegally win the 2016 election.
But Durham’s latest filing reveals that the CIA considered the “proof” brought by Sussman (who was not acting on his own, as he is reported to have falsely claimed) to be not “technically plausible,” unable of “withstand[ing] technical scrutiny,” and “user created and not machine/tool generated.” The CIA also believed that the data “contained gaps” and “conflicted with [itself],” wrote Durham.
It was on October 31, 2016, that Hillary Clinton tweeted about the bogus “secret hotline” that she claimed could be “the key to unlocking the mystery of Trump’s ties to Russia.”
It appears that Durham is finally providing the documentation to unlock the mystery; and all signs point to the British and the Clinton campaign, rather than Russia.
