As if any more evidence was required to prove that the U.S. Congress is committed to the destruction of the United States and its people, the House on April 1 passed the MORE Act —The Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act—by a vote of 220-204. Three Republicans voted yes, two Democrats no. It will now go to the Senate where Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is leading the national campaign to destroy the minds of the citizenry, and will face LaRouche Independent candidate Diane Sare’s mobilized opposition.

The bill removes marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act list, decriminalizing it. It would also require federal courts to expunge prior marijuana convictions and conduct resentencing hearings for those completing their sentences. It authorizes a 5% sales tax on marijuana and marijuana products that would be used to recruit others to join the “industry.”

The proponents used the fact that “people of color” are more likely to get convicted on pot charges than whites—this will be “fixed” by getting more “people of color” on drugs.

Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) objected, noting the inflation and the danger of war were serious threats, “Yet, the priority of this Congress now turns to expanding access to addictive, behavior-altering recreational drugs at a time when our country is also experiencing increased addiction, depression and suicide.”
