U.S. natural gas futures have skyrocketed since Monday, well before the Russian decision to cut gas deliveries to Poland and Bulgaria. Among the factors are the increased international demand, as well as the internal refill, which is below a 5-year average. However, Bloomberg points to another reason: the Great Reset. In the past, producers used to cool down prices by shifting from gas-powered to coal-powered plants to produce electricity, thus reducing price pressures on gas. This is not possible today, due to zero-carbon policies.
