Biden’s ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ Shelved by Public Outcry

The Biden Administration’s latest attempt to muzzle any criticism of administration policy has been upended by the outcry from the general public, universally skeptical of what the government is telling them, The direct target has been Nina Jankowicz, the person nominated to head the board, who is a product of the British Foreign Office’s Integrity Initiative, founded in 2015 through the British-funded NGO known as the Institute for Statecraft. Criticism of Jankowicz and of the idea of a Disinformation Governance Board was lambasted on the internet and Twitter as a form of Orwell’s “Ministry of Truth” in 1984. The creation of the Board was put on hold and Jankowicz had to resign in light of the swelling criticism, and many of the working groups on the subject in the Department of Homeland Security have been suspended. Will the whole idea be shelved entirely?
