China Remembers the NATO Bombing of The Belgrade Chinese Embassy

Today is the 23rd anniversary of the destruction of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia (Yugoslavia) by three bombs from a U.S. warplane, killing three Chinese journalists and injuring 20 others, as part of the first of the many illegal wars launched by the self-proclaimed “only superpower” following the collapse of the Soviet Union. While NATO is now carrying out yet another expansion, with Finland and Sweden planning to join, and fighting a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine, Global Times writes that “the Chinese people will never forget the barbaric atrocities of NATO, and analysts warn countries especially those in Asia to keep on high alert when it comes to NATO’s expansion and confrontation.”
