Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Campaign Manager Testified She Leaked Fake Russiagate Dirt

Robby Mook, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign manager, testified May 20 at the trial of Clinton’s attorney Michael Sussman that neither he nor other campaign officials were aware of any evidence of the special arrangement between candidate Donald Trump and the Russian Alfa Bank, which Hillary Clinton reported to the media. Mook told the court that he assumed the media would investigate on their own before publicizing Clinton’s claim. That would indicate very poor understanding of news media for a presidential candidate’s manager.

Clinton’s “evidence” was based on information the campaign purchased from Sussman’s law firm Perkins Coie, who bought it from the self-described research firm Fusion GPS, that relied on cybersecurity expert Robert Joffe. Sussman is on trial because he told the FBI he just found the “evidence,” but did not report where it came from except to say it was not from a client.
