Gen. Leonardo Tricarico, former head of the Italian Air Force and head of the ICSA strategic think-tank, told national TV La7 that membership of Sweden and Finland in NATO is a destabilizing proposition. On May 8, before Finland’s official announcement, Tricarico chastised NATO sec gen Jens Stoltenberg who said that the move would stabilize the North Sea theater. In light of the most recent statements by Stoltenbeg, Tricarico’s statements are all the more valid. Here is Gen. Tricarico’s statement:
