To the shock of the world, it just got hot in Texas. Perhaps the mythical gods of global warming were up to some mischief, but it was unseasonably hot to the point of blowing out half a dozen power generating plants in Texas. Or, maybe it was the same stupid windmills that left people without power in a cold snap in 2021, when hundreds died freezing in Texas.
The Texas electricity grid operator asked customers on May 13, Friday evening, to conserve power this weekend after a half-dozen generation plants were knocked offline amid another round of unseasonably hot weather.
