The Department of Homeland Security is creating a “Disinformation Governance Board” to “coordinate countering misinformation related to homeland security, focused specifically on irregular migration and Russia,” Politico recently announced.
It is absurd that intelligence agencies that claimed that the exposés of the Hunter Biden laptop was “Russian disinformation” or “a page out of the Russian playbook” are now taking it upon themselves to create a specific body to combat misinformation.
By and large, the same networks that defended Twitter’s banning of Trump on the basis that “free speech is not guaranteed by private corporations” are now seeking to guarantee that free speech is absent!
The entire DHS proposal is a disgusting move toward even greater control over the media, to build up support for an endless war against Russia, using Ukrainian soldiers and Ukrainian territory to fight it.
