For What Does Ukraine Need U.S. Rockets with a 300 Km Range?

In an interview with Kommersant, President of the American University in Moscow Edward Lozansky says Washington’s decision to send the HIMARS rocket systems to Ukraine could have “catastrophic consequences,” and that “the world has been expecting a Russian response with bated breath.” Lozansky warned that Kyiv’s guarantees to the United States not to use the systems, which have a range of 300 km, against Russian territory are “laughable,” also because the Ukrainian President had repeatedly broken his promises.

Kommersant also quotes Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov responding to a media question on May 27 on the Embassy Telegram channel, “Dear Anatoly Ivanovich, how would you comment on the ‘leaks’ that appeared in the media that the White House decided to supply Ukraine with long-range missile weapons?” that the situation is “unacceptable and unacceptable for us.” According to him, such a move by official Washington is “fraught with unpredictable consequences for global security.” (https://t.me/s/EmbUSA)
