A government bill to reopen old German coal plants will be voted on at the Bundesrat on July 8, three days before the planned shutoff of Nord Stream 1 for maintenance work. The work is scheduled to continue for ten days, but apparently Berlin fears that Gazprom will repay a co-belligerent nation with the same coin.
