Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa weighed in against the Anglo-American stated intention to use the Ukraine war to crush and carve up Russia, during a quick visit to Paris on June 7, which included a lunch with President Emmanuel Macron. Costa was hounded by French media as to where he stood on Macron’s statement that Russia must not be humiliated after the war. Costa responded that he is all-in on giving “full support” to Ukraine so that Russia is defeated, but he cautioned:
