Ruble Becomes Currency for Inner-EAEU Transactions

As reported by Interfax, Russia is switching to mutual transactions in rubles between countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Russian Security Council Deputy Secretary Rashid Nurgaliyev said.

“Mutual transactions to pay for commodities and services between the EAEU countries are switching to rubles. The volume of such operations already exceeds two-thirds of their overall number,” Nurgaliyev said in an interview with the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper.
