HMS BoJo Is Finally Going Down, as Sunak and Javid Leave the Sinking Ship

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is not likely going to survive today’s announcement from Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak and Health Secretary Sajid Javid, who have both announced that they are quitting their posts. Sunak, who has been in the running as a possible replacement for Bojo, said the government was not being conducted “properly, competently, and seriously,” while Javid said the government was not “acting in the national interest” and he could “no longer in good conscience continue serving in this government,” according to BBC. He added an attack on the PM’s character: “The tone you set as a leader and the values you represent, reflect on your colleagues, your party and ultimately the country.”

Typically, the issue is not that Johnson is threatening to start World War III, nor that he has faithfully taken instructions from the City of London to destroy the British economy through the Green insanity and through imposing sanctions on Russia which have further destroyed the British economy — all of that is fine. In fact, the likely replacements for him will certainly be just as insane, or worse.

The “issue” which got him in trouble in the first place was holding wine parties at No. 10 Downing Street during the lockdown, and more recently his appointment of an MP, appropriately named Chris Pincher, as deputy chief whip, despite “me too” accusations that he was groping the ladies. Johnson apologized, calling it a “bad mistake”

So far, the other members of his cabinet have pledged their continuing support for Johnson, but more resignations are expected if he doesn’t walk the plank on his own.
