India’s Prime Minister Modi Denounces British ‘Servant Class Education’

Speaking on July 8 at the opening of the three-day summit of educators in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said: “The British provided this education system to prepare a servant class for themselves to meet their needs. After independence, there were some changes in it but a lot remained.” As a result, he added, according to RT, India ended up with generations of degree-holders trained for government and service jobs.
