Uzbek Official Calls for Release of Afghanistan's Frozen Reserves

Uzbekistan’s Acting Foreign Minister, Norov Vladimir Imamovich, told a Tuesday conference in Tashkent that the United States and other nations should release Afghanistan’s frozen foreign reserves, which were seized following the Taliban takeover of the nation following the U.S. withdrawal, according to Pajhwok Afghan News.

The conference, held to discuss economic development of Afghanistan, was attended by Acting Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, who was eager to cooperate with Uzbekistan on infrastructure.
