Fox TV’s Tucker Carlson took aim against the recently published target list of the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation in his show yesterday, accurately denouncing the repressive, pro-war policies of the current Zelenskyy regime. But he failed to inform his listeners that the first 30 of the 78 individuals on the Center’s list were all speakers at Schiller Institute conferences, nor did he dare to mention the obvious fact that Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche was at the top of the list and clearly among Zelenskyy’s main targets.
Carlson instead turned to Glenn Greenwald and Tulsi Gabbard, who provided useful, but incomplete, readings on the significance of the Ukrainian hit-list. Greenwald attacked the Zelenskyy government: “They’re begging and, in a sense, demanding that other countries, including my own, the United States, provide them with a seemingly endless supply of weapons and money, which means we not only have the right, but the obligation to debate that and ask whether that’s in the interest of the American people to do.”
