Blast at Russian Base in Crimea: Was It an Accident or a Ukrainian Attack?

A Russian airbase in Crimea, located in Novofyodorovka, about 50 km north of Sevastopol, was shaken yesterday by a series of explosions. So far there is no physical evidence that the blasts were the result of a missile strike, and the Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement saying that it was an accident, resulting from the mishandling of munitions for combat aircraft. Nonetheless, the Kiev regime is claiming credit for the incident and using it as psywar against Crimea. “As you can see, missiles with a range of 200-300 km are already being used in our country,” Viktor Andrusiv, a former adviser to Ukraine’s ministry of internal affairs, said, reported the Times of London. “The explosions in Melitopol and today at Novofedorivka [Novofyodorovka] are proof of this…. In the context of the Crimean [Kerch] bridge, I advise the occupiers not to use it in the coming months.” The Kerch Strait Bridge, built by Russia to connect Crimea to its mainland, is a key part of the route by which supplies reach Russian units operating in southern Ukraine.
