The European Union’s Foreign Policy chief, Josep Borrel, added a new chapter to the “rules-based order.” In an interview with “El Pais” today, he was challenged with the double standard, of pretending great concern for the people of Ukraine, but showing no such concern for the people of Palestine. Borrel admitted that conditions in Gaza were scandalous, and that people there were “trapped in an open-air prison” - but supporting Kiev against Moscow was a “moral imperative.”
