Mykhailo Podolyak, an aide to Ukraine’s President Zelensky, explained perhaps more than he wanted to today. RT reported that a Podolyak interview with the BBC took a curious turn. When asked about the vaunted counteroffensive in the Kherson Oblast, as there has been a lot more talk than action, Podolyak first told the BBC that “war is a dynamic process” that entails “a constant correction of tactical goals.” Then, when pressed on the promises of a counteroffensive, he conceded that the promises could have been meant to deceive Russia. “Certainly, all public comments are part of information warfare. We need to demoralize the Russian army.”
