Liz Cheney, daughter of “beast man” Dick Cheney, has become the most iconic Republican never-Trumper over the last years. She attacked Trump for claiming the 2020 election was fraudulent, then went on to play a leading role in the January 6 hearings in Congress, quickly becoming the main target of Trump and his supporters to vote out of office. Cheney is running in Wyoming’s Republican primary on Tuesday Aug. 16, and the latest poll, taken by the University of Wyoming, has her trailing her Trump-endorsed opponent Harriet Hageman by 29%. “If the cost of standing up for the Constitution is losing the House seat, then that’s a price I’m willing to pay,” Cheney grumbled in a recent interview with the New York Times.
