The U.S. State Department confirmed to Newsweek on Aug. 26 that another American, believed to be at least the seventh so far, died fighting for the Kiev regime. “We can confirm the death of a U.S. citizen in Ukraine,” the U.S. State Department said. “Out of respect for the privacy of the family, we have no further comment at this time.”
Newsweek cites Oleg Kozhemyako, governor of Russia’s far eastern Primorsky Krai region, as saying on his Telegram channel that volunteers from the Primorsky “Tiger” Detachment had killed a 24-year-old American man in combat. Kozhemyako named the individual who was reportedly killed, and the post was accompanied by photos of both a U.S. passport and Ukrainian state-issued ID identifying the purported American casualty, but the man’s identity has not been confirmed by U.S. officials.
