Zelensky Fires More Top Officials of Ukraine's Internal Security

Yesterday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fired two regional heads of Ukraine’s SBU, and moved another, Artem Bondarenko, from his Lvov posting to a Kiev posting. Sergey Zaytsa was dismissed from his Kiev posting after serving 16 months. He had worked in the SBU since 1998. Yuriy Boreychuk was dismissed from the Ternopil region, not far from Lvov in the anti-Russian western portion of Ukraine. He had headed the SBU regional post there since November 2019, and had been in the SBU since 1994. Bondarenko, who was promoted to the Kiev station, had served as the head of the Lvov office for only five months.
