Kiev Counters Moscow's Celebration by Applying to NATO and Demanding Regime Change in Russia

Kiev had braced itself against the celebrations in Moscow today over the reunification of former parts of Russia with their homeland. The head of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov announced that “important and, I believe, fundamental decisions will be made.… We just have to wait until tomorrow, and you will learn what the NSDC members will talk about … and what decisions we will make….”

After today’s meetings, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had just signed an application for an expedited entry of Ukraine into NATO. Zelenskyy explained that Ukraine represented and has demonstrated in action the highest principles of NATO. Now, 30 of NATO’s countries will be tested one-by-one as to their loyalties to the Kiev regime.

Zelenskyy assured his followers that “The entire territory of our country will be liberated from this enemy—the enemy not only of Ukraine, but also of life itself, humanity, law and truth. Russia already knows this. It feels our power. It sees that it is here, in Ukraine, that we prove the strength of our values. And that is why it is in a hurry, organizes this farce with the attempted annexation, tries to steal something that does not belong to it, wants to rewrite history and redraw borders with murders, torture, blackmail and lies. Ukraine will not allow that.”

Otherwise, he explained that Ukraine was ready for dialogue with Russia, but it was impossible with Putin, so talks would only be possible “with another President of Russia.” (https://www.president.gov.ua/en/news/mi-robimo-svij-viznachalnij-krok-pidpisuyuchi-zayavku-ukrayi-78173#:~:text=The%20entire%20territory%20of%20our,the%20strength%20of%20our%20values.)
