Kiev Issues New Hit List vs. Foreign Observers of the Referenda, with EU Preparing To Back It

A list of names of 38 foreign observers of the referenda in Ukraine was posted Sept. 26 by Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Chairman of the Committee for Human Rights, charging that these people were helping the “aggressor state” legitimize “yet another lie,” adding descriptions of them from source accounts. “For the most part, these ‘referendum observers’ are long-time stooges of the Kremlin,” Lubinets wrote.

This posting constitutes a hit list, and there are reports of death threats already made against names. Lubinets states that he has contacted the Kiev Security Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the individuals. He lists the conditions he expects the Kiev departments to act upon, saying that the names: crossed the border illegally; they were in temporarily occupied territories; they took part in an illegal “referendum” that calls the territorial integrity of Ukraine into question.

British journalist Vanessa Beeley, rightly famous for her exposés of the hand of British intelligence behind the “White Helmets” in Syria, is one of the journalists named on the list, because she had traveled to Donetsk to observe the referenda. Beeley received death threats on Twitter immediately after the Ukrainian list was published, which Twitter has refused to take down, UK Column editor Mike Robinson reports.
