Dmitry Peskov, the official press spokesman for the Kremlin, was asked at today’s press briefing about comments yesterday by U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan that the U.S. had told Moscow “at a very high level” that there would be disastrous consequences if Moscow used nuclear weapons in Ukraine. Peskov replied that contacts between the U.S. and Russia are at a “proper level.… There are channels for dialogue, but they are quite sporadic, though they at least allow for some urgent reports on each other’s positions.”
