A poll conducted by Data for Progress on behalf of the Quincy Institute has found the American people are not on the same page as the Washington bureaucrats who speak for them. Most indicative was the question of whether people supported negotiations on the part of the U.S. to end the war quickly, to which 61% were in favor of diplomacy while 25% were opposed. Additionally, 47% said they supported military aid to Ukraine only if we were also engaged in diplomacy to end the war, as compared to 41% who said we should send military aid regardless of diplomacy.
