Russian Energy Minister Says This Winter ‘Will Be an Absolutely New Life for Europeans’

While attending the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov told TASS that he strongly doubts that Europe will be able to completely wean itself off Russian natural gas by 2027, which is their stated intention. “The situation with spot prices proves that this is not so simple. Europe can hardly rely on anyone except the U.S., which is scaling up LNG production,” Shulginov said.
