Britain’s former Prime Minister Boris Johnson spent a feverish couple of days recruiting the support of 100 Tory MPs, the threshold to enter the race for the next revolving-door British Prime Ministership. While he claimed today that he had garnered the 100, he then announced that he declined to run, as it “would simply not be the right thing to do,” as “you can’t govern effectively unless you have a united party in Parliament.” And whatever one says about Boris’s hairstyle, the man knows something about not governing effectively.
