In a useful reflection of reality from the United States, a prominent conservative voice has read Putin’s speech from September 30 and reflected upon what it means for the current strategic situation. Darren Beattie, the editor of Revolver News, a former speech writer for Donald Trump, and a close ally of Tucker Carlson, was interviewed by Steve Bannon on his “Warroom” show. [https://www.bitchute.com/video/VLkWo518HvQW/] There he warned of a “giant leap toward Armageddon” after the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines and the accession of the new territories into Russia.
As covered by Gateway Pundit, Beattie began by making the relevant claim: “The Europeans all quietly understand that this [Nord Stream attack] is likely at the hands of the NATO allies itself. That’s why they’re being good little vassal states and not making a lot of noise about it.” Bannon immediately interrupted him, flustered, and demanded how he knew that and what evidence he had. Beattie then described how everything points in that direction—that Nord Stream for years has been “a thorn in the side of the military” and an Atlanticist establishment that has hated the close relationship between Germany and Russia. He said those two nations’ relationship “is natural,” because Germany is an industrial nation that needs energy, and Russia has energy, so there is an “extreme complementarity” between them. The U.S. establishment wanted to break that relationship, “in particular that Atlanticist faction of the establishment that’s obsessed with destroying Russia, and obsessed with maintaining complete hegemony over Europe.” (https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/10/darren-beattie-europe-slave-state-united-states-us-basically-declared-war-russia-video/ )
Further rubbing it in, Beattie said the attack on Nord Stream was “one of the most significant attacks on European infrastructure in several decades”—yet “you don’t see the types of reactions that any reasonable sovereign state would have to an attack on their infrastructure of that magnitude, because they’re in this awkward position of knowing that it comes from the US or NATO proxies. Their only option is really to put their tail between their legs, keep their heads down, and shut up about it, which is more or less what they’ve been doing.” He added, “Europe is a vassal state. Europe is a slave state of the United States. Putin, in his speech, basically tried to shame them for doing that.”
Beattie had accurately read Putin’s speech. Indeed this is exactly what Putin did last week in his live address on the acceptance of the new four regions into the Russian Federation. “It [the U.S.] actually continues to occupy Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea and other countries, which they cynically refer to as equals and allies. Look now, what kind of alliance is that? The whole world knows that the top officials in these countries are being spied on and that their offices and homes are bugged. It is a disgrace, a disgrace for those who do this and for those who, like slaves, silently and meekly swallow this arrogant behavior.… They clearly understand that by pressuring the EU to completely give up Russian energy and other resources, the United States is practically pushing Europe toward deindustrialization in a bid to get its hands on the entire European market. These European elites understand everything—they do, but they prefer to serve the interests of others. This is no longer servility but direct betrayal of their own peoples.”
