President Vlaidimir Putin today gave what is arguably the most important speech given by a Russian leader since the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. It was a coruscating, unwelcome but necessary “wake up call” to the trans-Atlantic world. Various commentators described it as “a definitive break with the West,” although it could equally as well be termed a reassertion of the power of reason in opposition to the imperial “rule of law,” which, far from being “democratic,” is a throwback to the worst period of the Byzantine Empire, and the “in country” excesses of colonial rule in the Congo. Putin’s extensive remarks have caused reactions of white-hot hatred, of stunned awe, of deep consternation, of grudging admiration and wild enthusiasm. An analysis of the entirety will have to occur over the next days, but some things should be indicated.
One bombshell in the speech was that Putin explicitly stated that “Sanctions were not enough for the Anglo-Saxons: they moved on to sabotage. It is hard to believe but it is a fact that they organized the blasts on the Nord Stream international gas pipelines, which run along the bottom of the Baltic Sea. In fact, they began to destroy the pan-European energy infrastructure. It is clear to everyone who benefits from this. Of course, he who benefits did it.”
Putin attacked the “woke” degeneracy of the West. “Do we really want, here, in our country, in Russia, instead of ‘mum’ and ‘dad', to have ‘parent No. 1', ‘parent No. 2', ‘No. 3'? Have they gone completely insane? Do we really want ... it drilled into children in our schools ... that there are supposedly genders besides women and men, and [children to be] offered the chance to undergo sex change operations? ... We have a different future, our own future.” And Putin was uncompromising on what had just been ratified into law following the week’s referenda in the four territories. “I want the Kyiv authorities and their real masters in the West to hear me, so that they remember this. People living in Luhansk and Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia are becoming our citizens. Forever.”
It was noted by commentator Alex Chrostoforou from The Duran that Putin, “in one of the most important lines of his speech, said paper money like the dollar and the Euro, it cannot feed people…I think that is actually, out of everything he said, I think that line right there,, it’s probably the most important.” Co-host Alexander Mercouris agreed, “ yes, because it pointed to the basic economic truth of the last 30 years or 50 years if you like, and also to the underlying weakness of the Western system. It is ultimately now based on artificial money creation.” The extensive and intensive discussions now ongoing among well over 100 or the world’s nations for the need for an alternative set of financial arrangements to the dead trans-Atlantic system, including concrete measures being proposed, require the unique work and method developed by Lyndon LaRouche, both in economic program as such, and the interplay between political policy and economic policy, to succeed. The American people, for example, will never actually free their nation from the control of the “secret government” apparatus, until the United States, by reversing the suppression of Lyndon LaRouche’s work in the 1980s, rediscovers its true Constitutional nature. They must face the painful irony that it is China and Russia that most closely resemble the post World War Two intent of Franklin Roosevelt, and that the United States has come to resemble the outlook of Winston Churchill, the old imperialist, instead of that of FDR, because of the suppression of LaRouche.
