Today, Russia’s Foreign Ministry declared that the attempt to rig an “investigation” into the Sept. 26-27 bombing of the Nord Stream natural gas pipelines would only point the finger at those doing the egregious act of excluding Russia from the investigation. After all, the Russians engineered, built, and monitored the underwater pipelines that go through the Swedish and Danish waters.
Not only is Russia being excluded from the investigation by Germany, Denmark, and Sweden, but on Oct. 10, Sweden’s Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson announced that they would not even share with Moscow the current results of their investigation into the pipeline explosions: “In Sweden, our preliminary investigations are confidential, and that, of course, also applies in this case.”
